Question Wizard
The Question Wizard will assist you in creating a
question that will prompt the user for additional information. The
Wizard allows you to request data in one of four different
formats:
A
Transaction Number
Select this option if you wish to prompt the user
for a transaction number such as an invoice number, job number,
purchase order number, etc.
A Date
Select this option to prompt the user for a
date.
A Number
Select this option to prompt the user to enter a
number. Note that number fields are used when you will be comparing
something to be greater or lesser than something else, or when any
type of mathematical calculation might be performed. (Even if you
do not intend to perform such calculations.)
Select Other if you
will be prompting the user for numbers where no mathematical
calculations can sensibly be performed. This includes such things
as post codes, A.C.N. numbers,
tax exemption numbers, etc. Account
codes are blocks of text, not numbers, even if you exclusively put
numbers in them. Invoice totals, quantities, stock on order values
and cost prices are examples of valid numbers.
Other (A block of text)
Select this option to prompt the user for a block
of text. This might include things such as account codes, product
names, address fields, and most codes including such things as
currencies and departments.
