The Label Wizard
The Label Wizard will allow you to quickly
lay-out and design labels. Parameters include:
Portrait
Select this option if you want to print labels in
"portrait" mode. This is the "normal" orientation of a printed
page.
Landscape
Select this option if you want to print labels in
"landscape" mode. This is the sideways orientation of a printed
page.
List of Sections
Choose the area that you will be printing labels
for. If you select Card File/Generic you will be required to
pick a specific Database File.
Label Size - Label Width
Enter the width of the label in cm's. If you have
the label or sheet of labels in front of you, you should measure
its dimensions with a ruler.
Label Size - Label Height
Enter the height of the label in cm's.
Gap Between Labels - Horizontal
This is the horizontal gap or spacing between
labels in cm's. If there are no gaps between labels, leave this set
to zero.
Gap Between Labels - Vertical
This is the vertical gap or spacing between labels in
cm's. If there are no gaps between labels, leave this set to
zero.
Page Margins - Top Margin
Enter the top margin from the edge of the page
where the first label begins in cm's. If for example, labels start
2 cm's in from the top of the page, enter 2 here. You cannot
specify a margin that is less than the smallest printable area of
the page. Due to design limitations, many printers cannot start
printing at the very top edge of the page.
Page Margins - Left Margin
Enter the left margin from the edge of the page
where the first label begins in cm's. If for example, labels start
2 cm's in from the left of the page, enter 2 here. You cannot
specify a margin that is less than the smallest printable area of
the page. Due to design limitations, many printers cannot print at
the very left edge of the page.
Page Margins - Bottom Margin
The Label Wizard assumes that the entire page
contains evenly spaced labels. If this is the case you do not need
to specify a bottom margin. If you wish to limit the number of
labels that are printed down the page, increasing the bottom margin
will reduce the number of labels that can vertically fit on the
page.
Page Margins - Right Margin
The Label Wizard assumes that the entire page
contains evenly spaced labels. If this is the case you do not need
to specify a right margin. If you wish to limit the number of
labels that are printed across the page, increasing the right
margin will reduce the number of labels that can horizontally fit
on the page.
Number of Labels
The number of labels that can fit down and across
the page are calculated and displayed here.
Fields
You can pick from the list of available fields.
To position them onto your label, select the field you wish to

labels. To do this, press the Text
Button.
