A licence is limited to a specific computer per session, for a particular physical location. A session is defined as commensing when the first computer in the network accesses the business database and ending when the last computer connected to the business database disconnects. When no CAPITAL applications are running on the network, the session is ended. Running any CAPITAL application is equivalent to connecting to the business database. A computer uses up one licence even if it subsequently disconnects from the business database, for as long as the session is running. The same computer may reconnect to the database at any time, however, and does not consume further licences when doing so. The number of CAPITAL applications that an individual user may start does not consume additional licences. The number of business databases a user may connect to does not consume additional licences. The session is considered as still running even when two users are connected to different business databases. As this type of licence is limited to a particular physical location, you may not access CAPITAL from another physical location across a wide area network or using the internet, if that additional physical site's primary purpose is that of a business address. A separate licenced copy of CAPITAL is required for each separate business address. |

A licence is consumed when a user connects to the application's business database. Running any CAPITAL application is equivalent to connecting to the business database. A licence is returned to the licence pool when the user disconnects from the business database. This occurs when a user is no longer operating any CAPITAL applications. Multiple users may connect during the day or night, so long as the total number of users connected simultaneously does not exceed the total licence limit. A single licence is used per individual user or computer connection. The number of CAPITAL applications that an individual user may start does not consume additional licences. Users may connect to the business database either locally or across a wide area network. The applicability of a licence is not affected by the physical location of the user. |
