    Intermittent Extremely Poor Performance

    Issue Description:

    Software may appear to operate at normal speed for periods of time but then pauses for several seconds or more as different areas of the software are accessed.

    Cause:

    Dual installation of Microsoft Security Essentials combined with a third-party anti-virus package such as AVG.

    Solution:

    Uninstall one of the security packages, such as Microsoft Security Essentials.
