OS Error 6

This indicates that the operating system is unable to access a data file CAPITAL is trying to read, and that the OS is not sure what the cause of the problem may be.

The general diagnostic procedure is:

1. Close down all applications that may be accessing CAPITAL files.

If the problem persists:

1. Close down and restart the server computer if possible.

2. Close down and restart your local computer.

3. Run Scandisk on the server computer.

4. Run the CAPITAL Database Maintenance operation both for CAPITAL Office and CAPITAL GL Controller.
