not attempt to restore files from a back-up that is prior to the last system upgrade. For example, if
you were running CAPITAL 7.0 and have upgraded to CAPITAL 7.1, do not attempt to restore files
from a back-up of CAPITAL 7.0.Non Critical Database Files
The following data files are infrequently changed or are not tightly interlinked with other CAPITAL database files. It may be possible to selectively restore these files from a back-up. This may help to minimise data loss if it becomes necessary to restore damaged files.

Always perform a Database Maintenance operation after selectively restoring files.
Any file that has an accompanying *.CFS file may be selectively restored. However, be sure to restore all related files. For example, if the problem file is CONTACTS.DBF then be sure to restore all CONTACT.* files from the back-up.
