8009/8006 Corruption Detected
A read error on an index (CDX) file occurred. The recovery procedure is as follows:
Run
Scandisk on the "server" computer. This is the computer that stores CAPITAL's program files.
Perform
an Automatic Repair or Database Maintenance operation in CAPITAL Office.
If
you are running the general ledger, also perform the Database Maintenance operation in CAPITAL GL Controller.
In
almost all cases where the corruption detected problem persists, the cause is failure to carry out one
of the above three steps correctly.
If the above problem is not resolved look for files ending with the extention $$ in the CAPITAL program and company directores. For example, G$$. These are temporary files which are safe to delete.
If you are running the application on a network, try running the program from your local hard disk, if applicable, to try to isolate the cause of the problem and rule out network faults, if the above steps do not resolve the issue.
