1011 Write Error

CAPITAL failed to write to database or index file.

This problem has been reported to be caused, in some instances, by faulty virus scanning software. More common causes may include broken network connections, hard disk problems, running out of disk space or where the area of the hard disk the system is attempting to write to has been locked by another operating system task.

Follow this general diagnostic procedure:

Run Scandisk on the "server" computer. This is the computer that stores CAPITAL's program files.

Perform a Database Maintenance operation in CAPITAL Office. (An Automatic Repair may not be sufficient to correct this problem.)

If you are running the general ledger, also perform the Database Maintenance operation in CAPITAL GL Controller.

A common related problem is: 8009 Corruption Detected.
