1010 Read Error
CAPITAL data or index files may be damaged or connection to the network server may be lost. You may need to restore the damaged data files from your back-up. Possibly, your hard disk may have bad sectors or your operating system has file allocation corruption.
A corrupted index file can cause the network to attempt to read beyond the size of the data file.
Follow this general diagnostic procedure:
Run
Scandisk on the "server" computer. This is the computer that stores CAPITAL's program files.
Perform
a Database Maintenance operation in CAPITAL Office. (An Automatic Repair may not be sufficient to correct
this problem.)
If
you are running the general ledger, also perform the Database Maintenance operation in CAPITAL GL Controller.
A common related problem is: 8009 Corruption Detected.
