1. Entries in batch don't balance. Enter adjusting debits or credits to resolve problem. |
|
2. A system interruption error is reported. You should exit CAPITAL GL Controller and re-enter
the program. |
|
3. The period number assigned to the batch is no longer valid. You will need to edit the batch
and assign it to a valid period. |
|
4. The period the batch relates to has been closed. The period must be re-opened before posting
will be permitted. |
|
5. The batch has already been posted or reverse posted. See the posting rules table for more information
on this topic. |
|
6. CAPITAL GL Controller suspects that the batch may be damaged. If a batch fails its data integrity
check, you should print the contents of the batch and check its entries for missing or invalid data. A
batch error report may also prove useful. You will also need to edit the batch and re-total it before
CAPITAL stops reporting a data integrity alert and abandons posting. |
|
7. A batch created when a different financial period was current cannot be posted. Your only option
is to transfer it to standing journals and then move it back (effectively creating a new batch) if you
wish to post the batch to a different year. Otherwise select the correct year and then perform the posting. |
|
8. Another user on the network may be editing or examining the batch. Wait until the user has finished
with the batch before posting. |
|
9. One or more of the chart of account codes contained within the batch no longer exist. These
accounts have probably been deleted before the batch had a chance to be posted. You will need to re-enter
the account codes or edit the batch. Print a batch errors report to list the journals you will need to
change. |
|
10. The batch contains journals that are requesting postings to non-posting accounts. The account
or accounts have been changed before the batch has had a chance to be posted. You will need to change
the chart codes back to posting types, or change the invalid journals. |
|
11. One or more of the journals in the batch has its
account code "locked" (superseded). You will need to edit the batch and change the invalid
journal entry or unlock the chart of accounts code that is preventing posting. |
