Use this menu to create, select and delete companies and the years within those companies. (In this manual we sometimes we sometimes use the term "company" to refer to sole traders, partnerships, and other types of organisations, not just Pty Limited companies. CAPITAL doesn't differentiate between organisations since this is determined by the chart of accounts that you enter into the system.) This menu is also used to change security options or to "log on" or enter your password so you can gain access rights to CAPITAL's features (if the security system is activated). Finally, this menu is used to exit the program.

Before you can begin using the general ledger you may wish to create a new set of company files or copy one of the supplied sets into an existing CAPITAL Office company.

You will notice that every menu item has a key which is a letter underlined on the menu. You can press ALT + this key to move directly to that menu choice as a short-cut.
