Creating New Company Data


If you don't run CAPITAL Office and don't wish to use the supplied chart read this section. Otherwise skip to the next section.

generate/MISTAKE1.gif It is strongly recommended that you adapt the standard chart of accounts supplied with CAPITAL GL Controller unless you are an accountant or experienced bookkeeper. The Financial Formula Table and related financial reports have all been created for you and are ready to use. Provided you use the standard chart codes supplied. You may still add chart codes that you require or delete chart codes that are irrelevant.

If you wish to create a new general ledger from scratch you will need to:

1. Create a new general ledger company.

2. Enter the new chart codes.

3. Create a Financial Formulas Table that explains to CAPITAL how this chart of accounts is organised.

4. Create new financial statements to work with the new chart of accounts.

The above represents a fair amount of work.
