Conceptually, the link you have established is as follows:
The first thing you performed involved linking the sets you created to the general ledger.
The second thing you performed involved linking CAPITAL Office to those sets.
General ledger sets act like the contents pages of a book. CAPITAL Office consults the contents page for each particular account or stock record it needs to post to the general ledger, and this "contents page" tells CAPITAL Office what chart of accounts code should be used.
The advantage of this approach is significant: Should the chart code change, only the contents pages need be adjusted. This can make the link between CAPITAL Office and CAPITAL GL Controller very easy to maintain as your organisation grows and evolves.
