Clean Databases

Clean databases is a general maintenance utility that removes deleted transactions from general ledger data files, freeing up disk space and improving data access times. This process should be run on a regular basis to ensure your system is giving you maximum performance. After the clean databases process is completed an automatic repair is also performed.

Standard

This option rebuilds and compresses all the databases tables of your general ledger.

Thorough

This is the same as the standard option but it also performs additional compression and checks critical tables for data integrity. If invalid data is found it is automatically removed.

If this utility is not run after a large number of 'delete' operations (such as deleting a large system batch), CAPITAL Office's performance may be effected. Namely, CAPITAL Office may take an unusually long period of time to open.
