Keyboard Special Input Mode

Use the keyboard special input modes when you with to speed up product item entry on transaction input screens. These settings set the default behaviour of CAPITAL when the software first starts up. Users may deactivate a special input mode or select a different special mode from the Options menu within a transaction.

Fast Scan Input

If selected the transaction will position you on the Qty column immediately after entering a product code or description. This speeds up input when a bar code scanner is used or when you just need to enter product codes and quantities. Use the Enter key to move directly to the Qty column.

Fast Data Input

If selected the transaction will position you on the Qty column immediately after entering a product code or description. Then it moves directly to the Cost or Sell Price field. Use the Enter key to move directly to the Qty column and then the Cost or Sell Price column. This mode of operation is used when you just need to enter product codes, quantities and cost or sell prices as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

Normal Keyboarding

Select this option if you do not wish the system to default to the special Fast Scan Input or Fast Data Input keyboarding modes.
