Transaction Discount

For Sales Orders, Quotation and Invoicing.

Standard Issue Price

Select this option to recall the standard price for the currently selected product. The standard price depends on the default discount the currently selected account receives.

Percentage

You may enter an amount to discount here as a percentage. The discount will be calculated on the standard sell price for the selected product, not the current sell price. In other words, if you issue a 5% discount, and then issue a 10% discount, the final discount will be 10% off the standard issue price, not a combination of the two discounts (15%).

Entering a discount of "0.00" is the same as applying the standard issue price.

This behaviour can be changed by defining a scripting hook.

Standard Discounts

You may select one of the pre-defined discounts if these have been set-up for you.

Hints & Tips

The menu options that relate to discounting specific stock items are not available unless you highlight a product code. Blank lines and comment lines cannot be discounted.
The percentage base can be redefined by using the percentage discount script hook.
