Stocktake Variance Report
To access the Stocktake Variance Report start the INSTALLATION Workshop program and from the main menu select Toolbox|Stocktake. Then press the button.
Sort Report By
If you wish the items on the report to be listed in another sequence other than by product code, select a different ordering sequence here.
% Variance
If this is left set to zero all items will be included on the report, regardless of the degree of percentage variance.
If you specify a percentage then only items that differ by this degree will be included on the report. For example, if you enter 10.0 here, only stock items will be included where the physical count differs on or by more than 10% from the computer's records.
Bin & Measure
If this option is selected Bin and Measure columns will be included on the report. No dollar value cost valuation will appear.
Cost Valuation
If this option is selected Bin and Measure columns are excluded from the report, and the dollar value cost variance will be included.
Only Missing Items
If this option is selected only stock items that could not be matched against stock items in Stock Control will be included on the report. This would occur if stock records have been deleted since the snapshot was made, or if stock information was imported from an external source and some of the items imported were not originally assigned to the snapshot. (Even though those product items may exist in your stock system.)
Exclude Both Zero
If this option is ticked, stock items that have a holding quantity of zero in the computer and which have a physical count of zero, will be excluded from the variance report. To include all items untick this selection.
Hints & Tips
If you receive an 'overflow' warning on this report this means the quantity being processed exceeds CAPITAL's maximum capacity, which is 9 digits. If you are managing several decimal points, this can result in a relatively small number. For example, a decimal point setting of 2 means that the maximum number CAPITAL can support in Stock Control is 999999.99. You can often process larger numbers even when tracking several decimals by unticking the Display Decimal Points option under Stock Control General Options.
