Cash order costs are not estimated on this report. Do not be concerned with this issue unless you have
set-up and use cash order transactions in your company. The margin/mark-up options below do not apply
if there will be no profit display on the report.
Show with Mark-up
If selected, percentage calculations are shown as a profit on cost. For example, if the cost was $100 and the sale price $150, the mark-up as a percentage would be 50%. ($100 + 50% = $150)
Show with Margin
If selected percentage calculations are shown as the profit portion of the sale price. For example, if the cost was $100 and the sale price $150, the margin would be 33.3%. ($50 / $150 = 33.3%).
Account Type
Select the customer account type from the drop down list to include on the report. The default of "Regular" should be fine under most circumstances.
Include Tax
By default, the tax portion of the sales item is not included as part of the sales total. Tick
to include tax in the sales figures on the report.
Hints & Tips
The Salesperson Performance Summary percentages apply to the selected entries that appear on the report only, not for the entire period that the report covers. Group percentages relate to the group total for each product category.
The contents of kits are not decomposed on this report.
Cash orders and lay-by sales are included.
As this is a stock analysis report, sales that do not have an associated product code are excluded from the report. This is an important point, as you cannot cross-reference the totals on this report against sales reports that take into account total sales.
If you are interested in total sales by salesperson and do not wish to include individual stock items on the report, try the Sales by Sales Person Report.
Salespeople and entry clerks must be 'registered' in either the Staff Profiles Table or Clerk Codes Table. If their details have not been entered you will be unable to print a report on them or they will be ignored by this report.
Transactions that have not been assigned to sales people or entry clerks will not be included on this report.
As with all sales reports that involve stock or supplier groupings, if you select this option, only the groups that have been ticked will be included on the report.
