Received Jobs
Shows all jobs that have been received (booked) for the selected period. This is based on the Received field on the Service Manager.
Meet Requirement Date
This graph compares the Required date to the job's Completed date, showing how closely jobs were completed based on the initial estimate or promise. The closer the line is to zero, the closer jobs have been finished on target. The difference between the two dates is averaged for all jobs, for each day, week or month, depending on the selected range of the graph.
Activity
This graph shows the number of quotes, received (new) jobs and completed jobs, relative to each other, for the selected date range. A job is considered completed if its Completed date is filled in. Jobs should always be assigned a Received date, otherwise they will not appear on the graph.
Profitability Trend
This compares the total charges for all jobs in the selected range, relative to their costs and expenses.
Work In Progress
This shows all unbilled costs in relation to all unbilled charges, for the graph's selected date range. When a job is closed, the work-in-progress is considered to be zero. Work-in-progress on a completed job indicates that invoicing for that job has not yet been completed.
Cost Versus Estimate
This graph compares the actual cost of each job to the estimated cost, for the graph's selected date range. This graph will only be of value if cost estimates are being entered on jobs.
Charge Versus Estimate
This graph compares actual charges for each job to the estimated charge or agreed (contract) charge, for the graph's selected date range. This graph will only be of value if the charge estimates are being entered on jobs.
Recalculate
Pressing this button will cause CAPITAL to rebuild all job statistics in the Service Manager. This can be used as way to check on the accuracy of the current system statistics. Overview statistics may be inaccurate when there has been file damage, external tampering with data or system failures caused by hardware or operating system problems.
Hints & Tips
Jobs do not appear on the overview as open, quoted, or as having costs and estimates unless they have been assigned a Received date. The Received date is the date the job was opened or created. All jobs are assigned a Received date automatically when created within CAPITAL.
Jobs that have been marked as "closed" will not be shown as having associated work-in-progress costs and charges, even if those jobs have not been fully invoiced.
Jobs must have a Completed date to be considered finished, regardless of the job's status. The meet requirement date statistic is not calculated until the Completed date is entered.
