Service Manager Card File Links generate/enh73.jpg

CAPITAL's Service Manager allows you to link one or several card files to a job card, in order to allow you to track additional information in relation to a job, that can be stored in a separate data 'container'.

Connecting Card Files To Service Manager

To connect a card file to a Service Manager job card, name your card file JOBEXTRA. You should also add the field JOB to the card file and sort the field in ascending sequence. When your card file is set-up in this way, CAPITAL will automatically create a corresponding record in your card file with the same job number if the record does not exist, or it will open the card file at the record that matches the job number of your service manager job card. Basic familiarity with CAPITAL's Screen Builder is required in order to construct such a card file.

When the Service Manager detects that this card file exists, a Database menu option appears automatically on the Service Manager main screen. You can then access your card file from this menu.

Connecting Additional Card Files

You may have more than one card file connected to a single job card. Up to 10 additional card files may be connected. All additional card files must begin with the working JOBLINK and a number or letter following that word. For example, JOBLINK1, JOBLINK2, JOBLINKA, and so on, are acceptable names.

When the Service Manager detects that such card files exist, additional entries on the Database menu appear automatically. You can then access your additional linked card files from this menu.
