Send Document As Fax

Electronic Document Exchange Component Only

Use this facility to send a form, document or report as a fax to a fax server.

Fax No

Enter the fax number here. You can press the Fax No button to show a list of accounts and related fax numbers to select from.

Schedule

If you wish to schedule the fax to send it at a particular time, enter the time in hour and minute format.

For example, to send the fax at 11pm enter: 23:00 here.

To

The name of the person the fax is to be addressed to. You can press the To button to access the List Manager where you can keep a list of contact names on file.

If you press the Fax No or Company buttons, the contact name from the selected account will be pasted here.

Company

The name of the company the fax is to be addressed to.

You can press the Company button to access the customer account's file if the transaction is related to a customer account, or the supplier's account file, if the transaction is related to a supplier's account. Otherwise the List Manager is displayed, where you can keep a list of company names on file.

Subject

The subject heading of the fax. You can press the Subject button to access the List Manager where you can keep a list of subject names on file.

Department

The company department the fax is addressed to. You can press the Department button to access the List Manager where you can keep a list of department names on file.

Options

Send Immediately

Requests that the fax be sent immediately to your Email/fax server.

If all message scheduling is deactivated 'Send Immediately' will still have no effect. For information on scheduler options see: Electronic Document Exchange Installation.

Your fax server may have its own scheduling priorities. This option does not override or control your fax server's scheduling options. It only controls when the fax transmit request arrives at your fax server.

High Priority

The fax is marked as high priority. This job will then be sent before all normal priority fax, Email and print requests.

Normal Priority

The fax is marked as normal priority.

Fine Resolution

Indicates that you wish to send the fax in high resolution format, as opposed to normal/standard resolution.

While Electronic Document Exchange provides a large number of automated faxing options as listed above, it may be the case that your particular fax server software does not support all of the available options listed here.
