Repair Tracking ![]()
Enterprise & Corporate Edition Only
To access the Repair Tracking utility open Stock Returns or Stock Receipts from the CAPITAL main menu and select from the transaction menu View|Repair Tracking.
The Repair Tracking facility lists all items that have been returned to suppliers on Stock Returns and which have not yet been recorded as received back from suppliers, on one or more Stock Receipts.
Finding Repairs
To locate a repaired item select a search method by choosing an option from the Search On menu. Choices include:
Date Sent Back To Supplier
Enter the date the item was sent back to your supplier in DD/MM/YY format.
Product Code
Enter the product code of the item you wish to locate. Partial matching is allowed, however only one item at a time can be listed in the Repair Tracking window.
If
multi-location stock control is activated and you need to perform a search for an item returned from
a specific location, press the key next to the Word(s)
To Find field and select the item and location here.
Return Authorisation Number
Enter the return authorisation number or equivalent reference code here if applicable.
Customer Account Code
Enter your customer's account code here if applicable.
Customer Transaction Number
Enter your customer's invoice transaction number here, if applicable. You will not be able to use this option, of course, if you have not originally entered a customer transaction number reference against the return.
Supplier Account Code
Enter your supplier's account code here to list all items pending return from that supplier.
Press the button to begin the search.
Deleting Repair Details
You may delete all record of the item's pending return from your supplier, if the details have been entered in error, or the items have been credited back (thus they will not be physically returned) or some other arrangement has been made for their return, for which it was not appropriate to record the fact on a stock receipt.
To clear the record of the pending return, select the entry you wish to clear and press the button.
Editing Repair Details
You may edit the details of items sent out for repair by pressing the button. For more information on editing repair details consult the topic: Repair Management.
If you record an item as fully received back from your supplier, the entry will automatically disappear from the Repair Tracking window.
You
cannot use this facility if the transaction is currently opened by another operator or yourself. If you
have the transaction already open, use the Edit|Repair Details option from the transaction menu, and re-save
your transaction to update your record changes. Alternatively, close the transaction, open a new (empty)
transaction, and then use the Repair Tracking utility to edit repair record details.
Hints & Tips
You cannot edit or delete repair details without having stock return edit rights for your security profile.
