List Manager ![]()
The List Manager is used to maintain common system and user defined lists of categories and types. To access the List Manager select Tables|List Management from the main menu.
A look-up button
appears next to fields that have access to the List Manager. To choose an item select it with the keyboard
or mouse and press the button or double-click on your selection.
To manage a list begin by selecting the list you wish to work on and under the Items group, press the button to add a new entry to the currently selected list, or to change an entry or to remove an entry.
System Lists
Customer Banks
These are the bank account codes of transactions (particularly cheques) of your customers.
Reasons Quotations Won
A list of reasons for why a quotation was successful.
Reasons Quotations Lost
A list of reasons for why a quotation was not successful.
Shipping Methods
The method of shipping goods.
In
the Enterprise Edition of CAPITAL the Carrier
Table is used for recording carrier details and shipping information. Shipping methods should be used
only with the Professional Edition of CAPITAL, as they are otherwise redundant.
Fax Company
The name of the company that faxed documents are to be addressed to.
Electronic
Document Exchange Component Only
Fax Company Department
The name of the company department that faxed documents are to be addressed to.

Fax Subject
The subject heading to appear on faxed documents.

Fax To
The person that faxed documents are to be addressed to.

User Defined Lists
You may create your own lists, which can be linked to your master system data screens such as Customers, Suppliers, Stock Control, etc., using the Screen Builder.
To create a new list press the button, then specify a name for the list and the maximum size of the list,next to Item Size, and press OK. You may also edit the list's name or remove the list. However, you cannot remove or change the names of standard system lists.
