INSTALLATION Workshop - Introduction

CAPITAL INSTALLATION Workshop will allow you to:

• Change the operating settings of CAPITAL Series 7.

• Execute data recovery and maintenance operations.

• Import and export data.

• Inspect audit trails.

• Create new companies.

• Customise the appearance of master accounting screens.

• Create new card file databases.

• Customise the behaviours of the application.

• Access the Warehouse Manager system if installed.

Please do not change any of the default operating system settings until you have tried the standard 'factory' settings. The standard settings are in place because they represent the most common requirements for a typical business.

Once you have started using the system (by entering your data), certain parameters should NEVER be changed. Consult this on-line reference before making such changes.

To start Installation Workshop choose one of the following:

1. Select Installation Workshop from your Windows Start menu. It is found in the Programs|Capital Office group.

2. Run the program INSTWIN found in your \CAPITAL directory.

3. If you are running CAPITAL Office already, select from the main menu Special|Installation Workshop...
