How to Upgrade CAPITAL
You
should always perform a complete back-up
of your data files and program files before starting the upgrade process. This is very important.
Before performing an upgrade make sure:
All users are logged out of your network. CAPITAL will be unable to properly upgrade your system if users are still running CAPITAL. You must also close down all running copies of Visual Builder.
You have a good back-up of your data, programs, and forms and other data files. In other words, you should have a back-up of the contents of your \CAPITAL directory and all sub-directories below that directory.
You have enough disk space on your system. This should at least be slightly greater than size of your largest data file in the system.
Installing An Upgrade
From the CAPITAL main menu select File|Upgrade.

These are the some of the things that may have went wrong:
You did not log users out of CAPITAL before performing the upgrade.
One or more of your program files were locked by the operating system as "in use". Reboot your computer and install the upgrade again.
You may have run out of disk space and CAPITAL was unable to complete the upgrade.
The upgrade process may have been interrupted by a system failure. Run the Scandisk program and install the upgrade again.
