Global Stock Delete
Use this utility to maintain the accuracy and relevance of your stock file by deleting redundant entries.
IMPORTANT:
As this facility performs global operations on your accounting data and also removes records, you should
make a back-up of your system first, before proceeding.
Items
will only be deleted if the stock in holding value (physical stock) is
zero.
View Items Before Delete
to view each stock record on screen, before CAPITAL will delete it. You will then be able to confirm if
the record should be removed from stock.
Only Discontinued Stock
to only select discontinued stock--stock that has both its Reorder level
and Overstock level set to zero, will be considered for deletion.
Stock Marked as Special
to only select stock records whose Special field has been ticked will be
considered for deletion.
Supplier Group
Only stock assigned to the supplier group you type in or select from the list by clicking on
will be considered for deletion. Leave this blank if you do not wish to limit the deletion to a particular
supplier group.
Stock Group
Only stock assigned to the stock group you type in or select from the list by clicking on
will be considered for deletion. Leave this blank if you do not wish to limit the deletion to a particular
stock group.
Location
Enter the location field or click on
to select from list if you wish to restrict the deletion to a particular location
Place Stock in Archive
If CAPITAL has detected that you are using the Stock Archive System, you will be prompted for an archive name. An archive is an extended stock/inventory database. CAPITAL can transfer details concerning the stock record to be deleted into the archive before it is removed from Stock Control. See Stock Archives for more information.
Delete Stock Before
Only stock that has been last sold before or equal to this date will be considered for deletion. Leave
blank if the last date of sale is not relevant. Type in date or click on
