Global Price Adjustment
To access this feature go into Stock Control and from the menu select Tools|Global Price Adjustment.
This operation allows you to:
Adjust the price of any or all stock or supplier groups by a percentage, simple formula, or script, on any of the eight price fields in Stock Control.
Or re-apply any defined group formulas. This can be useful when you have imported stock records from an external source and wish to "conform" your data to a pricing structure set-up under your stock groups.
WARNING:
Existing prices will be superseded by the new prices generated by this operation. This process is not
reversible. It is recommended that you make a back-up of your system first.
Options include:
Apply to All Stock
Tick
this for all stock items to be included in the adjustment.
Stock Groups

if you want the global price update to be limited to particular stock groups. To mark stock groups click
on the Stock Groups button. A list will appear and you can then mark the stock groups you want to include
in the update.
Supplier Groups
Tick
if you want the global price update to be limited to particular supplier groups. To mark supplier groups
click on the Supplier Groups button. A list will appear and you can then mark the supplier groups you
want to include in the update.
If you enter a supplier and a stock group, stock items must belong to both groups before an update
will be performed.

For more information on this topic see Stock

Price to Adjust
Select from the drop down list A - H which corresponds to the Stock Control price field to alter.
Formula
Enter your price formula here. For example, if you wanted to increase the "E" price by 10%, then the formula would be: E + 10%
For more information on formulas see: Formula Processor.
Only if Price Zero
Tick
here if you only want the global price update utility to update the price if the price to adjust is currently
zero. Non-zero prices will be skipped over.
This
facility is useful when you have imported stock file data from an external source and need to update your
sell pricing quickly.
Global
Price Updates & Scripts
If your price update procedure is complex and cannot be calculated by means of a simple formula, CAPITAL supports the use of a script. A script may contain a series of instructions on how to update a stock record's pricing information or instructions on which stock records to update, or a combination of both.
