Enterprise & Corporate Edition Only
To access the Delivery Zone Table select Tables|Back Order Control|Delivery Zones from the main menu.
The Delivery Zone Table allows you to specify delivery zones for back orders. If entries are placed in the Delivery Zone Table, CAPITAL examines each sales order or back ordered invoice and attempts to match the rules in the Delivery Zone Table to the characteristics of the transaction. If a match is found, the applicable delivery zone code is then assigned to your back ordered items.
For example, if you specify a delivery zone rule that any delivery to the postcode 2155 is "zone 4", then if the delivery postcode of the sales order (or invoice containing back orders) is 2155, then all back ordered items are assigned to this delivery zone. It would then be possible to print a report showing which back ordered items were assigned to which delivery zones. This is very useful if you need to pack and ship customer orders according to the delivery area.
It is possible to associate customer orders with the following:
Postcodes
Suburbs
States
Regions (user definable)
Customer Categories
Weight
Volume
Number of packages (user definable)
It is also possible to create your own associations using the Delivery Zone Script Hook.
