Create Company Wizard

To access the CAPITAL Create Company Wizard, start the INSTALLATION Workshop program and from the File menu select Create Company Wizard.

This utility will let you quickly configure the system to meet your general requirements, based on the type of organisation you select.

Once you become more familiar with CAPITAL Office you will probably want to make many fine adjustments to the various installation settings. For beginners or new users, this facility is an easy way to get you started on the right track--quickly.

Experienced users will find this Wizard a handy way of creating a new company while preserving the various settings and customisations you may already have made.

Create a new company based on an existing company

Select this option if you have already set-up a company and would like to copy the parameters of this company into a new set of company data files.

Create a new company from scratch

Select this option if this is the first time you have created a company or the company you wish to create is different from any existing company.

Set-up an existing company

Select this option if you have already created a company and would like to alter its configuration settings.

Creating a Company Based on an Existing Company

If you will be creating a company based on an existing company, you will be given these additional options to choose from:

Configuration Parameters

All general company settings will be copied, such as tax rates, discounts, multi-department and multi-location settings, foreign currency options and so on.

User Defined Screens

Any customisations made to user defined screens using the Screen Builder will also be copied. This includes user defined fields, rearranged fields, etc.

Master Account Records

If this option is selected master record details will be copied. This includes such records as stock items, customer and supplier details, and so on. Transactions are not copied. The new company will have an empty audit trail and will not contain any transaction histories.

The Company Name Code

You must specify a unique code up to 8 characters long consisting of letters and numbers only. CAPITAL Office will identify this new company using this code.
