The Corporate database server operates in a 'client independent' operating environment, which is designed to communicate and integrate with different development plantforms such as Java, .NET, ODBC and many others. In order to maintain maximum compatibility in this environment, particularly with application programs developed using different toolsets, most complex CBS functions are not supported by the Corporate database server.

Sorting and filtering statements should also limit themselves to reference only the database table being sorted or filtered. CBS functions directly supported by the Corporate Edition server are listed in the following table:
