Too many open files. Check that the FILES= setting in your CONFIG.SYS file is set to FILES=99 or higher. May occur in maintenance mode Setup if WIN.COM, WIN.CNF, or another component is cross linked with another file. Perform a ScanDisk.

Access denied - make sure the file is not write protected or protected by virus protection software. Also check that FILES=99 or higher is set in your CONFIG.SYS file.
