Bulletin Board ![]()
To access the Bulletin Board, select from the main menu Tools|Bulletin Board or select from the main menu Tools|Appointments & Tasks, and click on the tab.
The bulletin board is primarily used as an inter-office electronic note pad or internal Email system for CAPITAL users. Notices can be placed here by staff for access by other staff. This facility is particularly useful in a multi-user environment where staff may be located at different locations.
Bulletin Board Actions
Press to locate a message by subject, user or date.
Press to read a message. You may respond to the message by changing its status to one of the following:
Normal
In Progress
Delegated
Held
Completed
Press to save the status change.
This invokes a pop-up menu where you can change the sort order of the messages being displayed or print out a bulletin board message.
Press to edit an existing message.

Adding And Editing Messages
When adding or editing messages the following fields are displayed.
Company
The company to which the message will be sent. The default is the currently open company.
To
Select the user you wish to address the message to or select [Everyone] to present the message to all users.
Subject
The subject title of the message.
Priority
The priority level of the message. Options include:
Urgent
High
Normal
Low
Private
Select Private if you do not wish other users to view this message.
Users
with administrator level passwords may view all messages.
Date Due
The date the action in the message falls due. If the message is not read and set to Completed, this message will be highlighted in red after the due date has passed.
Status
The message status has the following selections:
Normal
In Progress
Delegated
Held
Completed
Hints & Tips
CAPITAL automatically looks to see if a message has been added to the bulletin board when users return to the main menu or when they first log in.
