Enterprise & Corporate Edition Only

To access Assembly Routings, go to the Assembly area and from the menu select View|Routing.

For information on what Routings are see the topic: Assembly Routing Tasks.

An assembly task may have up to 9999 routings linked to it. Each routing must have a unique step number, and task code. When a routing is completed the date of completion is normally recorded against the routing task. When all routings have been marked as completed, the assembly can then be built.

Routings are optional. If there are no routings linked to an assembly task, the assembly task can immediately be built.

Task No

Enter the assembly task number here. The assembly task must exist before any routings can be assigned to it.

Step No

The step number of the routing. Each routing must have a distinct sequence in the assembly construction chain. Step 1 is the first action to perform, step 2 is the second, and so on. You may also number actions as 1a, 1b, 2c, 35d and so on.

generate/notepad2.gifUse letters of the alphabet when you need to fit an additional step between two existing steps that are numbered in sequence. For example, if you need to fit a routing task between task 5 and task 6, then enter the step number as 5a.

Task Code

Each routing task must be assigned a task code. Tasks are created and added via the Routing Tasks Table.

Work Centre

Each routing task may optionally be assigned to a work centre. Work centres are created and added to the Work Centres Table.

Completed

If the routing task has been completed, enter the Completed date here. When routing tasks are initially assigned to an assembly, the Completed date is left blank as the associated work has not yet been performed.

Start

The time the task was started in 24 hour format.

End

The time the task was completed in 24 hour format.

Run Time

You may optionally enter here the amount of time required to complete the task in minutes.

Run Type

The Run Time in minutes can be defined as per the number of units of the assembly that is created, or the total time for all units built. Select the appropriate Run Type here.

User Name

The name of the user who has performed the task.
