Assembly Routing Tasks

To access Assembly Routing Tasks, go to the Assembly area and from the menu select Tools|Routing Tasks.

A routing is a series of steps required to make an item. For example, baking a cake could be broken down into a series of tasks:

1. Mix ingredients.

2. Bake.

3. Cut into pieces.

Each routing represents a single step in the assembly or production process. Tasks may include welding, polishing, baking, powder coating, quality assurance checking, and so on. An assembly cannot be finished until all tasks relating to its production have been checked off as completed.
