Assembly Manager Reference

To access the Assembly Manager, select Section|Assembly Manager from the main menu.
When the Assembly Manager is first opened, assemblies are divided into two areas. Standard Templates are those assemblies that are used regularly as the basis of new assemblies. Any assembly you intend to reuse or use a close variation of, are placed on the Standard Templates screen. Assemblies that you build and are then finished with, are placed on the Assembly Transaction screen. To toggle between the two screens press or .
Standard Templates
These form the basis of new assemblies that are actually built. You cannot build a template assembly and template assemblies have no effects on Stock Control.
Assembly Transactions
These are 'normal' assemblies which can be built. When an assembly is built, finished stock items are created by converting raw materials, labour and expenses, into finished goods.
When a stock item is placed on the Stock/Materials screen, the quantity In Production is increased, and the quantity is also Allocated (reserved) so that it is not considered by the rest of CAPITAL as being available for regular sale.
Creating a New Assembly
To create a new assembly, decide whether the assembly will be reused as a standard template or whether it will be a one-off construction. If the assembly is going to be used as the basis of future assemblies, make sure the window is activated. Then press the button. Otherwise, if the assembly is a one-off construction, make sure the window is activated. Then press the button or select File|Add Assembly from the menu.
When a new assembly is created it will automatically be opened and you will be taken to materials, labour, expense and finished items entry screens.
Editing an Existing Assembly
To edit an existing assembly begin by highlighting it with your keyboard or mouse. Press the tab button if the assembly resides on this screen. Then press the button or select File|Edit Assembly form the menu. Pressing the button will also open the selected assembly for editing.
Copying an Assembly
To copy an existing existing assembly press the button.

Moving an Assembly
To move an assembly from to or visa-versa, select this function by pressing the button, or select File|Move Assembly from the menu.
Deleting an Assembly
To delete an assembly press the button while viewing or , or select File|Delete Assembly from the menu.
