Assembly Copying
Enterprise & Corporate Edition Only
To access this function go to the Assembly Manager area and from the menu select File|Copy Assembly.
New Title
Enter a new descriptive title for the assembly.
Into Location
Enter the location of this assembly if applicable. Materials and stock will be drawn from this location if multi-location stock control is activated.
Multiplier
The default value is 1, which will result in the creation of another assembly with the same Stock/Material, Labour and Finished Stock quantities as the original assembly. The Multiplier can be increased to produce more of a particular item or items. For example, if 2 was entered here, twice as much raw material would be used and twice as much finished stock would be created as the original assembly.
As Recurring
If this selection it ticked
the new assembly will be placed in the area. Otherwise
it will appear under .
When
you copy an assembly to the Assembly Transactions area, all the items on
the Stock/Materials list become Allocated (reserved) and the quantity In Production for each related stock
item, is increased by the quantity assigned to that entry on the assembly. However, if you copy an assembly
to the Standard Templates area there is no effect on Stock Control. (Template
assemblies cannot be built, therefore they have no direct effect on Stock Control.)
Direct
expenses are not duplicated when you copy an assembly.
